Job Summary:The Service Technician provides hands‐on support to customers in the Emergency Services industry by assembling, installing, and maintaining mobile data equipment in emergency vehicles.
This role addresses service requests, performs diagnostic analysis, and carries out repair activities both in the field and in the workshop, ensuring that equipment functions reliably to support critical emergency services.Job Description:You'll have the prospect to:Use analytical and methodical approaches to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, perform initial fault analysis, and assemble, test, and repair vehicle and equipment assemblies.Support the creation and maintenance of installation and maintenance manuals, prepare work instructions and investigative reports, and track time spent on each activity.Assist with tracking spare and faulty inventory, update equipment location details, and notify management of replenishment requirements.Complete assigned in-field and workshop service requests for mobile data equipment, adhering to expected workmanship levels and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ensure that all installations and maintenance work are conducted safely and in compliance with OH&S; Regulation guidelines.Maintain accurate equipment and software configuration records in the asset management system.Perform additional reasonable tasks consistent with skills and training as required.What you'll bring to the role:Experience in low‐voltage electrical or automotive roles within a customer‐facing environment.Certificate II in Electronics - preferred, not mandatoryProven expertise in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues,
with a strong analytical approach.Familiarity with reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and identifying electrical circuits.High proficiency in technology, particularly with computer and diagnostic tools.Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions accurately.Strong organisational skills, especially in documentation and record‐keeping.Commitment to safety and adherence to OH&S; guidelines.The simplest way to measure success in this role is:Efficient and accurate diagnosis and rectification of hardware issues, meeting established quality and response times.Safe, compliant, and high‐quality completion of installations and maintenance tasks.Maintain a zero‐incident safety record, ensuring all installations and maintenance tasks are compliant with OH&S; regulations.Accurate and up‐to‐date documentation within the asset management system.Why Corvanta?
