About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and passionate Chef to join our team.
This role offers the
opportunity to work in a great, supportive environment.
Experience in a traditional Korean dining
restaurant setting is highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well with others, and have a
deep understanding of authentic Korean cuisine.
You must be able to multitask, remain calm
under pressure, and have a very good understanding of food and all aspects of a commercial
Key Responsibilities
Planning menus for traditional Korean dishes, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.




Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure authenticity and high standards.
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff.
Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on procedures, specifically for authentic Korean cuisine and double-frying methods.
Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
Explaining and enforcing all hygiene and food safety regulations.
Assisting with the selection and training of kitchen staff.
Managing stock rotation, including freezing and preserving foods as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Trade Qualifications: At least a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent).
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef
Knowledge and experience in high-volume food preparation and a rapid-paced customer environment, preferably with traditional Korean cuisine.
High level of interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
