We're after someone experienced, practical and down-to-earth who wants to be part of building something, not simply filling a position.What You'll Be DoingYour responsibilities will include:Independently preparing electrical quotes and estimatesReviewing scopes, drawings, specifications and client requirementsCompleting site inspections where required to assess and price worksPlanning jobs before they are allocated to the field teamAssisting in Scheduling electricians, apprentices and project resourcesEnsuring upcoming jobs have the required information, materials and documentationProviding practical technical support to supervisors and field personnelLiaising with clients regarding scopes, scheduling, progress and variationsCoordinating with suppliers and subcontractorsMonitoring job progress, labour usage, materials and commercial performanceIdentifying and managing variations and changes to scopeKeeping job information accurate and up to date within SimproReviewing completed jobs to ensure timesheets, materials, purchase orders, notes, photos and supporting documentation have been capturedEnsuring jobs are complete and ready for invoicingPreparing and running toolbox talksSupporting operational meetings and workflow planningHelping improve systems, processes and accountability across the businessAssisting management with the continued development and expansion of the businessAbout YouYou will be an experienced electrical professional who understands both the technical and operational sides of contracting.You are comfortable making decisions, taking ownership and working through the details required to turn an enquiry into a successfully completed job.You will ideally have:Extensive experience within the electrical contracting industryStrong estimating and quoting experienceThe ability to prepare electrical quotations independentlyExperience reviewing drawings,



specifications and scopes of workStrong technical electrical knowledgeExperience coordinating tradespeople, apprentices and multiple jobsPrevious experience as an electrical supervisor, estimator, project coordinator, project manager or operations managerStrong planning, scheduling and organisational skillsCommercial awareness, including labour allowances, materials, variations and job costsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfidence communicating with clients, builders, suppliers and field staffThe ability to prioritise competing demands and keep work movingStrong attention to detail when reviewing and closing out jobsExperience using electrical estimating or job‐management softwareExperience with Simpro will be highly regardedA current Queensland electrical licenceThe Person We're Looking ForThis is an experienced position and would suit someone who enjoys being involved across the full operation of an electrical business.You may currently be working as a supervisor or project manager and looking to move into a more office-based operational role, or you may already have experience across estimating, planning and project coordination.The right person will:Take ownership of their responsibilitiesBe practical, organised and solutions-focusedUnderstand the realities of working in the electrical contracting industrySupport the field team and help set them up for successCommunicate clearly and follow through on commitmentsIdentify issues early and work towards practical solutionsMaintain strong relationships with clientsUnderstand the importance of accurate job records and timely invoicingBe willing to improve systems rather than work around themWork well in a close-knit, team-focused environmentWant to play a meaningful role in the future growth of the businessWhat's on OfferA permanent senior role within an established local electrical businessA broad and varied position across estimating, operations and project deliveryThe opportunity to help shape and improve the way the business operatesA mix of office-based coordination and site involvement as requiredDirect involvement with business owners and operational decision-makingA supportive, down-to-earth and team-focused workplaceA business that values quality work, accountability and looking after its peopleCompetitive remuneration based on experience and capabilityLong-term opportunities as the business continues to grow
