Operations Supervisor – Night Shift (10PM – 6AM)
Southern Queensland Steel is seeking a hands-on, safety-focused Operations Supervisor to lead our Night Shift warehouse and processing team.
This role is expected to commence in July ****.
This role oversees site safety, workflow, quality, and people leadership to ensure customers receive material on time and in full.
About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will supervise night shift operations including warehouse, processing, stock movement and dispatch functions.
You will lead a small team, ensure protected work practices are followed, maintain productivity and support continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise night shift warehouse and processing staff
Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure OH&S; compliance
Oversee stock handling, picking, storage, loading and dispatch
Monitor equipment checks, breakdowns and maintenance needs




Manage shift handover, labour allocation and training
Maintain quality standards and respond to material non-conformances
Complete shift reporting and basic administration tasks
About You
Proven warehouse/operations/logistics supervisory experience
Strong leadership skills and a safety-first mindset
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Strong work ethic and desire to meet required targets
Ability to work independently and manage a busy night-shift environment
Basic computer skills (Outlook, warehouse systems)
Desirable
Forklift licence
Gantry crane experience
HC Licence
