Belconnen Way Hotel & Serviced Apartments is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Casual Receptionist to join our friendly team.
This position is ideal for a mature-aged candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent customer service skills, and is confident learning new systems and technology.
About the Role
This is a casual position with shifts rostered to meet the operational requirements of the hotel.
Applicants must be available for some weekday morning shifts commencing at 7:30am, weekday afternoons from 12 - 5pm with the flexibility to work evening, and weekend shifts when required.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming guests and providing exceptional customer service.
Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
Handling guest enquiries and resolving complaints with a calm, skilled, and positive approach.




Operating the hotel switchboard and maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
Communicating effectively between Reception, Housekeeping, and Maintenance departments.
Coordinating and delegating housekeeping room allocations and daily requirements.
Monitoring stock levels and reporting replenishment needs.
Assisting with sales and upselling room types and hotel services.
Performing general administration duties to support the General Manager during business hours.
Maintaining accurate guest records and processing payments.
Balancing and reconciling the reception cash till and EFTPOS transactions.
