Kablamo is an impact-driven software engineering company.
We bring engineering, data, and AI expertise to solve complex problems, with the intellectual horsepower to know what works and the care to make sure it actually does.
Founded in **** in Australia, the business has grown quickly over the last several years, including the expansion of the team to Canada in ****.
We are proud to have assembled a wonderful team and a list of customers that includes some of the best-known enterprises and government organisations in Australia and Canada.
We've built Kablamo on using data and technology to drive product innovation, and we've been recognised globally, including AWS Public Sector's global award for "Most Innovative AI/ML Solution" for Kablamo's work in building bushfire intelligence platforms.
Kablamo's Product Care service provides end-to-end support for the bespoke software we design and build for our customers.
Our Product Care teams deliver "Level 3" application support; an ongoing managed service providing expertise across all layers of the application, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, gathering feedback, and driving product enhancement.
The Role
We're looking for a mid-level Full Stack Engineer to join our Product Care team, keeping our clients' platforms stable and evolving.
You'll triage and fix defects, deliver incremental feature enhancements, and help ensure successful ongoing adoption of the platforms you support.
You're passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable work through repeatable processes and good development patterns, and you take real pride in the craft of support engineering.
You'll work across the full stack: building dynamic front end code, robust and performant back end APIs and services.
You're curious by nature and enjoy exploring new technologies and approaches.
You'll take ownership of your own tickets and enhancements end to end, working closely with the Technical Account Manager and wider delivery team.
There's no greater satisfaction than seeing our clients' confidence in their platform grow through the speed and quality of the support you provide.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to client stakeholders through ticket and communication channels, ensuring SLA and SLO objectives are upheld
Participate hands-on in the code to deliver high-quality, extensible, and maintainable software
Work across the full stack to support, triage, and resolve incoming requests and defects
Diagnose and fix production issues, identifying root causes and delivering timely resolutions
Deliver ongoing feature enhancements based on priorities set by the Technical Account Manager / Product Owner
Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and platform stability
Use AI-assisted development tools day-to-day to support delivery, where appropriate to the task
Work with the Technical Account Manager to identify recurring problems that can be resolved to reduce recurring alarms/tickets
Support the Technical Account Manager in compiling RCAs / PIRs (Post-Incident Reviews)
Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to uphold code quality standards
Participate in code reviews as both reviewer and reviewee to maintain team standards
Work cross-functionally with engineering, development teams, and client stakeholders to deliver sound outcomes and suggest system improvements
Contribute to technical documentation as the platform evolves
Participate actively in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and showcases
Identify and manage security risks within the scope of the role, ensuring compliance with defined security controls and escalating emerging threats to the Technical Account Manager

Experience with scripting tools and automated deployments
AI Tooling & Integration
Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in day-to-day development to support delivery speed and code quality
General familiarity with LLM-powered features (e.g. chatbots, structured outputs) is a plus, but not a requirement of this role
Well organised, accurate, and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work confidently within an existing, complex codebase
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
