As the Drug & Alcohol Clinical Nurse Consultant in the Emergency Department, you will work directly with patients experiencing complex substance use and mental health challenges, providing expert assessment and guidance.Each day, you'll collaborate closely with mental health clinicians, peer workers, and community services to support safe care, manage intoxication and withdrawal, and help patients plan for discharge with the right supports in place.
In the busy ED environment, you'll be a trusted resource for staff, offering advice, education, and practical solutions to complex cases.
You'll also have the opportunity to shape service improvements, contribute to quality projects, and help develop new ways of working that make a real difference for patients, families, and the wider team.The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) team work for the greater good through an open, flexible and dynamic, strengths-based approach.
