Designer / Draftsperson Marine Structures Design the Marine Infrastructure that Shapes Australia's Waterfronts Marine Structures is one of Australia's leading marine construction companies, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of pontoons, marinas, ferry terminals, jetties, floating boardwalks, pedestrian bridges and other marine infrastructure.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Designer / Draftsperson who enjoys solving engineering challenges, producing high-quality fabrication drawings and seeing their designs become reality.

The Role Working closely with our Senior Designers, Engineers, Project Managers and Manufacturing team, you'll be involved throughout the design process—from concept development through to fabrication and construction documentation.
Using Autodesk Inventor, Vault and Forma, you'll produce detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings and manufacturing documentation for a diverse range of marine infrastructure projects.
Every project is different, providing an interesting mix of residential, commercial and government work that will continually challenge and develop your technical skills.
Key Responsibilities Producing high-quality 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor Developing working drawings from engineering concepts, sketches and client requirements Preparing tender,



approval and construction documentation Producing accurate shop drawings for manufacturing and installation Completing quantity take-offs and assisting with estimating requirements Supporting manufacturing and project teams by resolving design queries Working collaboratively with Engineers, Project Managers and Production staff to ensure designs are practical, efficient and buildable Maintaining drawing standards and document control using Forma.

Skills & Experience We're looking for someone with experience in many of the following:



Essential Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical or structural drafting Advanced Autodesk Inventor skills Experience producing fabrication/shop drawings Strong understanding of manufacturing or construction processes Excellent attention to detail Ability to interpret engineering concepts and produce practical manufacturing documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Highly Regarded Autodesk Vault experience Experience with BIM 360/Forma Structural steel or aluminium fabrication experience Marine, civil or infrastructure projects Knowledge of Australian Standards Practical workshop or fabrication experience.
