About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing automation environment focused on designing and delivering advanced material handling and warehouse automation solutions.
This role is ideal for an Electrical Engineer who enjoys combining technical design with real project delivery, working across automated warehouses, conveyor systems, shuttle technology, and industrial control solutions.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop robust electrical designs, support installation and commissioning activities, and deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop electrical layouts and system architectures for automated material handling and warehouse automation projects
Design motor control drawings, power distribution schematics, and electrical control panel documentation
Select and specify electrical components including motors, PLC hardware, safety devices, sensors, instrumentation, and protection equipment
Prepare technical documentation including bills of materials, cable schedules, drawings, and test procedures
Ensure designs comply with Australian standards, electrical regulations, and customer requirements
Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues during installation, commissioning, and operation
Collaborate with automation, controls, software, maintenance,



and service teams to deliver successful projects
Support continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives across projects
About You
You will have experience working within an industrial automation or electrical engineering environment and enjoy being involved throughout the full project lifecycle.
You will ideally have:
A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
2–5 years' experience in an electrical engineering role
Practical experience working with PLC-based automation systems
Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software
Strong understanding of electrical design principles, standards, and safety regulations
Experience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems in industrial environments
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Robust communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Experience with the following will be highly regarded
Automated material handling systems
Robotics, machine vision, or motion control systems
Functional safety systems and risk assessments
Industrial commissioning and site installation support
