Our stores are a hub that connect our customers to events, influencers, and trends, allowing them to live life on their terms.PositionThe Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting the Head of Operations to execute City Beach's long-term operational strategy.
This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, partnering with senior leaders to assess performance, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the business.
With a robust understanding of core operations and a high level of leadership capability, the Operations Manager ensures strategic decisions are translated into meaningful outcomes that deliver long-term value.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Head of Operations on the development of long-term operational business strategy.With the Head of Operations, recommend actionable and measurable steps to achieve overall business growth and cost control.Work with the Head of Operations, and other business leaders to identify and establish frameworks, budgets and deliverables for operational projects and initiatives, and manage the activities and outputs to ensure these are met.Partner with the Finance team to gather data to inform financial and statistical models to show return of certain investments or other financial recommendations.Conduct research and analysis of overall operational effectiveness and processes to identify and explore areas for change, growth, and organisational improvements,



and present findings to the business.In partnership with the Heads of Departments, ensure that customer focused thinking is embedded within our team culture and provide education to the business on competitor landscape as relevant.Ensure departmental goals, processes and resources are aligned with the organisational strategy.Support the Head of Operations on providing strategic advice to business leaders based on industry best practice and trends within the retail industry.Assist the Head of Operations and leadership team to manage contracts and relations with suppliers, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders and ensure compliance.Drive a continuous improvement mindset, fostering innovation to ensure that City Beach remains competitive in the market.Skills & ExperienceA Master of Business Administration or other relevant business degree is required.Experience in organisational research and strategy, consulting experience would be beneficial.Strong commercial and financial acumen.High level analytical thinking and ability to operationalise data driven decisions.Demonstrated experience with project planning, and project management.Presentation experience of detailed reports and other important projects to senior management.Experience in successfully managing broad and competing responsibilities and complex issues at management level.Why Join Us40% team member discount for you, your friends and family to access.Access to our Beach Benefits Program where we have partnered with industry leaders to bring our team members discounts on products and memberships to keep you healthy on all fronts.Access to Psych Health our Employee Assistance Program.Prezzee Gift Cards for major milestones and yearly anniversary celebrations.Weekly shared morning tea to celebrate team member milestones.Friday 4pm finishes and social drinks every week.
