Our practice covers a diverse range of matters, including commercial law, litigation and dispute resolution, property law, family law, employment law, estate planning and business transactions.We are now seeking a motivated and client-focused lawyer to join our Ashfield office.The scope and seniority of the position can be tailored to suit the experience and strengths of the successful applicant.Key ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities may include:Managing a varied caseload with appropriate supervision and supportAdvising clients across one or more of the firm's practice areasDrafting correspondence, contracts, pleadings, affidavits, court documents and legal adviceConducting legal research and preparing explicit, practical recommendationsAppearing in courts and tribunals, where appropriateBriefing and working with counsel and other professional advisersCommunicating with clients,



opposing solicitors and relevant authoritiesManaging deadlines, file administration and billing requirementsAssisting with business development and the growth of the firmDelivering professional, responsive and commercially sensible client serviceAbout YouThe successful applicant will ideally have:Admission as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSWA current NSW practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain onePost-admission experience in a law firm or legal practiceExperience in one or more of commercial law, litigation, property, family law, employment law or wills and estatesStrong written and verbal communication skillsSound legal research, drafting and analytical abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and time-management skillsThe confidence to communicate directly with clients and manage mattersA practical, solutions-focused approach to legal workA high level of professionalism, integrity and discretionThe ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative teamApplicants from junior through to more experienced levels are encouraged to apply.
