We're looking for an experienced Quality Manager to own the standards, systems and final sign off that keep our manufacturing output at the level we're known for.Leading a team of Quality Supervisors, you'll hold accountability for maintaining our ISO **** accreditation and for the quality of everything we build.
You'll also be the primary point of contact for clients, third party inspectors and certification bodies, so confidence representing Benmax at every level matters.This is a hands on leadership role.
You'll be close to the shop floor, setting consistent standards, product lines and production areas, and shaping the systems and reporting that keep our quality performance visible to the wider business.You can expect toLead and develop QA capability across the manufacturing business, keeping standards consistent in every production areaDirectly lead our Quality Supervisors, setting priorities, allocating coverage and holding the team accountable for deliveryOwn the quality management system end to end, including procedures, work instructions, and inspection and test plansHold accountability for our ISO **** accreditation, including certification and surveillance audit readinessRun the internal audit programme and drive corrective actions through to verified close outHold delegated authority to place work on hold, reject product and stop release where quality requirements aren't metAct as the escalation point for quality disputes between production, project delivery, supply chain and clientsManage supplier and subcontractor quality, including incoming inspection requirements and vendor performanceDefine, measure and report on quality performance, including first pass yield,



non-conformance and reworkOwn the client and third party inspection interface, including witness and hold points and handover documentationWhat you'll bringProven experience leading a team, including direct management of personnelDeep working knowledge of ISO ****, with genuine experience owning a certified quality management systemAbility to set and enforce consistent quality standards across multiple production areas and product typesSound ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and inspection and test plansInternal Auditor certification in ISO ****Confidence influencing senior stakeholders and holding a firm quality position under schedule and commercial pressureTertiary qualification in Quality, Engineering or a related disciplineLead Auditor certification in ISO ****Trade or technical background in fabrication, welding or mechanical assemblyWelding inspection qualification, for example AS ****, CSWIP or AWS CWIWhite Card, Silica Awareness and Asbestos AwarenessPlease note: candidates must have permanent working rights in Australia.
