You will help turn complex policy, ICT and operational inputs into clear, practical requirements.The work improves payment compliance and strengthens support for vulnerable families.
You will work with teams across the agency to clarify needs, manage competing priorities and produce materials people can understand and use.You will suit this role if you are a structured BA who can handle ambiguity, facilitate difficult conversations and keep requirements explicit, prioritised, traceable and testable.What You'll Be DoingFacilitate workshops with policy, ICT and operational stakeholdersElicit, document, prioritise and validate business requirementsTranslate technical information into plain EnglishAnalyse current state processes, rules, constraints and pain pointsIdentify gaps, impacts, dependencies and sequencing risksProduce models,



process maps and analysis artefactsDefine scope boundaries and support risk assessmentAssess change requests and prepare practical recommendationsCoordinate verification and validation activitiesSupport quality assurance, defect triage and implementation planningWhat You Bring (Essential Criteria)You've led BA work on medium-complexity government, service delivery or digital initiativesYou can facilitate elicitation with low engagement, incomplete information or conflicting inputsYou've managed requirements from discovery through validation and change controlYou can write clear, prioritised, traceable and testable requirementsYou've analysed current state processes, business rules, gaps and improvement opportunitiesYou can explain complex technical concepts in plain English for diverse audiencesYou're an Australian citizenYou must hold a current Baseline clearance or aboveNice to Have (Desirable Criteria)Familiarity with Commonwealth service delivery writing style guidesExperience in child support, welfare, payments, compliance or family and social servicesExperience working across policy, ICT and operations teamsExperience supporting QA, defect triage, verification or validation activitiesBe careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
