MuraConnect is proud to be partnering exclusively with Justice Reinvestment Network Australia (JRNA), a purpose-led organisation driving meaningful, community-led change across Australia, to engage an Operational Support Coordinator.This is a rare opportunity to step into a purpose-led role where strong operations, coordination and follow-through directly support community-led justice reform.The role is offered as an initial 3-month contract, with a pathway to permanency available.
While this role is offered under a remote arrangement, Brisbane-based candidates are preferred to attend occasional in-person engagements.About JRNAJRNA is a community-controlled organisation and national peak body for justice reinvestment, led by a 100% First Nations Board.
Its work is grounded in self-determination, community control and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing.JRNA works alongside communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, allied entities and advocates to support healing, accountability and stronger community-led responses to justice challenges.About the RoleReporting to the Co-Executive Directors, you will provide broad operational and administrative support across JRNA and its National Justice Reinvestment Unit.This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone who is organised, responsive and calm under pressure.
You will help keep the organisation moving by supporting executive administration, meetings, travel, events, governance, finance administration, records, communications and project delivery.You will work closely with senior leaders and a national team, helping create the systems,
rhythms and support that allow JRNA's work to happen effectively.What You'll Be Doing:Coordinating diaries, meetings, travel, correspondence and documents.Supporting Board, staff, community and stakeholder meetings, including agendas, papers, actions and follow-up.Keeping day-to-day operations on track, including workflows, shared inboxes, records, systems and internal processes.Assisting with finance administration, including purchases, invoices, receipts, acquittals, reconciliations and reporting support.Supporting events, workshops, Communities of Practice, Shared Learning Hub sessions, conferences and other engagement activities.Maintaining databases, CRM systems, contact lists, filing structures and operational records.Providing practical project and team support across JRNA's programs and priorities.What You'll BringExperience in administration, operations, executive support, project support or a similar role.Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.Confidence coordinating meetings, travel, calendars, documents and administrative processes.Experience supporting finance administration such as invoices, expenses, reconciliations or records.Clear communication skills and the ability to prepare professional correspondence and documentation.Confidence using Microsoft Office, online meeting platforms, CRM and financial systems.Initiative, reliability and the ability to manage upwards in a busy environment.A strong commitment to First Nations self-determination, community control and culturally respectful ways of working.JRNA is seeking someone who is either First Nations, or who has robust knowledge and experience working respectfully with First Nations peoples, communities and organisations.
