Air is a growing HVAC and mechanical services business delivering reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, warranty works, and commercial projects across Sydney and Wollongong. We work with government, education, aged care, and major FM contractors, and we're known for reliable service and strong client relationships.

We're now looking for a Service Manager to lead our service department and take it to the next level.

The Role

This is a senior operational and commercial leadership position. You'll have full accountability for the service department, including two office-based coordinators and all field technicians across our Sydney and Wollongong operations.

This isn't a purely operational role. We want someone who thinks commercially, drives growth, and uses the tools available, primarily Sim Pro, to identify opportunities, improve processes, and get the best out of the team.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Leading and developing a team of coordinators and field technicians
- Overseeing daily service delivery across reactive, PPM, warranty, and quoted works
- Driving revenue growth from the existing customer base through additional works, upgrades, and PPM conversions
- Owning the PPM program, including scheduling,



client communication, FY repair approvals, and contract performance
- Maximising warranty cost recovery and managing the warranty process end to end
- Using Sim Pro to manage job costing, WIP, quoting, asset tracking, and performance reporting
- Implementing structured technician training and development plans
- Protecting margins, managing WIP, and ensuring timely invoicing across all works
- Acting as the escalation point for client issues and ensuring high service standards across the board

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in a service management or senior supervisory role within HVAC, mechanical services, or a similar trade environment
- A track record of leading both office and field teams simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert revenue opportunities
- Solid working knowledge of Sim Pro or a comparable job management platform
- Sound understanding of PPM contract management and delivery
- Trade qualification in HVAC/Refrigeration or Electrical preferred
- Current full Australian driver's licence
- Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and leads by example
