Tibra is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a `6-month contract` to join our global Finance team based in Austinmer.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the centre of the business, combining financial accounting, product control, reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory support. The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant plays a key role within Tibra’s global Finance function.

The role spans financial accounting and daily product control. You’ll take ownership of key month-end processes, financial reporting, cash and payroll reconciliations, and board reporting, while also partnering closely with trading desks and systems teams on position reporting, P&L; analysis, and controls.

Key responsibilities:

- Daily product control, including trading position reporting, reconciliations, and external-to-internal P&L; variance analysis
- Leading the month-end close process for all entities, including intercompany transactions
- Completing month-end reconciliations of cash position, cash movement, and payroll
- Preparing monthly Board Packs, including detailed analysis of Group results
- Managing expenses in a contracts database and supporting expense reviews
- Managing the payment sign-off process and maintaining bank systems and relationships




- Driving cost-saving initiatives through rigorous analysis and understanding of cost drivers
- Preparing annual financial statements
- Assisting with internal and external audits
- Preparing regulatory and statutory returns
- Preparing multi-year budgets and forecasts
- Providing variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
- Researching and drafting accounting policies and procedures
- Supporting capital calculation and reporting
- Liaising with Finance staff in various regions to ensure Group processes are followed
- Working closely with other teams to manage and resolve queries effectively

What you’ll bring to the team:

- An accounting qualification with a strong understanding of accounting standards
- Financial accounting experience working on month-end processes
- Knowledge of Net Suite is an advantage
- A solid understanding of financial markets and the products traded within them
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, databases, and query functionality
- Ability to work with SQL
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Clear communication and robust stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to improve processes and think laterally
