About Community Correctional Services (CCS)
/n
CCS contributes to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS manages individuals on court orders, those who have committed serious sex and/or serious violent offences receiving post‐sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.

Role Overview
/n
Parole and Specialist Case Managers (PSCMs) deliver high‐quality case management to a caseload of high‐priority individuals who have committed violent and sex offences under correctional supervision. PSCMs ensure alignment with best practice initiatives, including strengths‐based case management and dynamic risk assessment in line with Corrections Victoria's Offender Management Framework.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver case management to high‐priority individuals, ensuring the nature of responsible offender management aligns with best‐practice initiatives.
/n
- Apply strengths‐based case management approaches and dynamic risk assessment in line with the Corrections Victoria Offender Management Framework.
- Produce relevant plans, reports and briefing documents for departmental and ministerial stakeholders.
/n
- Maintain meticulous management of CCS service‐user files.
/n
- Communicate effectively with a range of individuals and backgrounds, applying sound professional judgment when required.
/n
- Work regionally between the Cranbourne and Pakenham Justice Service Centres and, operationally, from time to the Dandenong Justice Service Centre.

Qualifications
/n
/n
- Relevant qualification in social work, psychology or a related human services discipline (preferred) or criminal justice/criminology (desirable).
/n
- Excellent writing skills with demonstrated ability to prepare departmental and ministerial briefings, external correspondence and reports.
/n
- Knowledge of best‐practice case management frameworks and theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
/n
- Strong communication skills and ability to apply professional judgment.
/n/n
