About The Role
/n
Visy Logistics is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our VIC Intermodal division, based in Epping. This hands‐on, influential leadership position is responsible for driving operational excellence, delivering outstanding customer service, and achieving key financial and performance targets.
/n
In this role you will oversee fleet and labour operations, with full accountability for P&L;, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead the coordination of road and warehouse services, ensuring seamless operations and consistent delivery of customer schedules.

What You'll Do
/n
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
/n
/n
- Own the P&L; for the VIC Intermodal division, including monthly forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
/n
- Provide clear operational and financial insights on fleet, labour, and site performance to senior management.
/n
- Lead fleet and labour operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‐effective service delivery.
/n
- Optimise labour utilisation across driving and warehouse teams, managing permanent and casual workforce needs.
/n
- Monitor driver KPIs, identify performance gaps, and implement targeted improvement actions.
/n
- Maintain accurate equipment tracking, nurture supplier relationships, and resolve operational issues promptly.
/n
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate quarterly stock audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
/n
- Partner with internal teams including Sales, Commercial, Customer Service, and Safety to support seamless service delivery.
/n
- Drive continuous improvement across OH&S;, Compliance, Injury Management, and Return‐to‐Work processes.

What You Will Bring

You will bring a sharp operational mindset, robust attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. With prior operational leadership experience, you will have strong financial acumen and the capability to manage budgets, analyse cost drivers, and contribute to strategic financial decisions that impact operational performance. You will also bring:

- Experience in transport, logistics, or warehouse operations with a focus on intermodal environments.
/n
- Strong understanding of CoR, fatigue management, load restraint, and mass management.
/n
- Containerised Import/Export experience and knowledge of port environment.
/n
- Familiarity with SAP, TMS, Container Chain, and Cargo Wise to support planning, tracking, and performance reporting.
/n
- A confident people leader who builds capability, drives accountability, and fosters a high‐performance culture.
/n
- Approachable and responsive, building trusted relationships and ensuring customers remain front and centre.
