About the role

In this dynamic and rewarding position, you will:

- Provide specialist one-on-one counselling, support, and advocacy for children and adults who have experienced recent or historical sexual assault.
- Deliver crisis response within the Tamworth Hospital Emergency Department, coordinating care for individuals who have been recently assaulted.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, NSW Police, and the Department of Communities and Justice to ensure clients receive holistic, timely, and compassionate support.

You’ll work alongside a supportive team of Sexual Assault Counsellors and allied health professionals who share your commitment to person-centred, trauma‑informed care.

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology with eligibility for membership to the AASW or Australian Counselling Association ACA or registration as a Psychologist with the APHRA

- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
