Job Description
Legeneering is a leading, Perth-based one-stop provider of flexible solutions for the brownfield oil and gas industry. Our scalable specialist services — spanning asset maintenance, structural and piping refurbishment, fabrication and offshore campaign delivery — are designed and adapted to match the total requirements of our clients.
/n
With a strong foundation in asset maintenance complemented by leading technology, we work closely with our clients to understand their requirements, identify the right solutions and execute projects in a cost-effective and secure manner, ensuring the highest levels of productivity.
/n
The opportunity
/n
Legeneering is seeking a motivated and well‐organised Project Coordinator to join our FPSO Refurbishment team, delivering structural and piping refurbishment campaigns for a Tier 1 oil and gas client.
/n
This role is dedicated to the execution phase of our projects. Once the engineered scope is approved and the client confirms scope freeze, you will drive everything required to get the campaign offshore and closed out — from workpack development, inspection and test planning, tooling, consumables and fabrication procurement, through personnel readiness and mobilisation, to variation management during the offshore campaign, demobilisation, invoicing support and lessons learned.
You will be the coordination engine room that turns an approved design into a safely executed offshore campaign.
/n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work day to day with our technical writers, welding coordinator, workshop, mobilisation and project controls teams, and liaise directly with the client and the Classification Society on execution deliverables.
/n
Duties and responsibilities
/n
/n
- Coordinate execution‐phase planning with the client, including confirmation of scope freeze, execution dates and workpack requirements.
/n
- Review campaign requirements across equipment, tooling, consumables, labour, and skills and competency and drive actions to close any gaps.
/n
- Coordinate workpack development with the Technical Writer and manage workpacks through internal Technical Authority review and client / Classification Society review to Rev 0 sign‐off, ensuring review feedback is incorporated and re‐submitted promptly.
/n
- Coordinate development and client sign‐off of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and weld procedures with the Welding Coordinator, including weld qualification requirements.
/n
- Review personnel, skills and competency requirements for the campaign and arrange training through Learning & Development where gaps are identified.
/n
- Manage the quote‐to‐purchase‐order cycle for tooling, consumables, fabrication and materials, coordinating workshop quotes and their submission to the client.
/n
- Arrange third‐party T4 inspections of tooling and equipment with external providers.
/n
- Coordinate mobilisation: confirm personnel‐on‐board (POB) availability with the client, submit mobilisation requests, coordinate labour quotes and flights with the Mobilisation team.
/n
- Support the offshore campaign during execution, including identifying scope variations, preparing variation quotes and tracking variation purchase orders so work can resume without delay.
/n
- Coordinate demobilisation and execution‐phase close‐out,
including confirming job completion in the ERP system (M1) for workpacks, tooling and consumables.
/n
- Support invoicing by working with Project Controls to raise invoices and progressing them through sign‐off and submission to the client.
/n
- Keep project records complete and current in M1, and provide accurate schedule, cost and status reporting to the Project Manager.
/n
- Identify, manage and escalate project risks, and contribute to the end‐of‐project lessons‐learnt review.
/n
- Ensure safe execution of work and promote QHSE compliance across all execution activities.
/n/n
Qualifications
/n
/n
- 3+ years' project coordination or project engineering experience, ideally from a maintenance, refurbishment or campaign‐delivery background in oil and gas or mining.
/n
- Working knowledge of workpack development, ITPs and offshore campaign preparation; exposure to Classification Society (e.g. Lloyd's / ABS / DNV) requirements highly regarded.
/n
- Demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule and procurement cycles (quotes, purchase orders and invoicing) on your own projects.
/n
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple internal disciplines and liaise directly with clients.
/n
- Participation in company QHSE programs.
/n
- Active participation in cultural engagement.
/n
- Completion of the cultural safety training package.
/n/n
What we offer
/n
A permanent, Perth‐based role in a close‐knit refurbishment team delivering campaigns for a Tier 1 client, with a defined career lattice from Project Coordinator through Senior Project Coordinator to Project Manager, and structured development against our Project Family Competency Matrix.
/n
To apply, please submit your resume and a brief cover letter.
