This is a fixed term, full-time position commencing ASAP up until June, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency.

The Organisational Design, Development and Planning directorate provides: leadership, planning and implementation of key strategic human resource initiatives and projects, including equity and diversity initiatives, advice, guidance and support on organisational design and development, workforce planning and human resource data analytics, intelligence and reporting to support decision-making by Department staff.

The Role

The successful applicant will provide advice, guidance and support to departmental staff on organisational design related legislation, policies and procedures, in the context of Program Kaartdijin.

Program Kaartdijin (the Program) has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SIS) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large.

The Program's vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.

The successful applicant will contribute to the development of solutions and recommendations for line managers and Department staff on workforce design,



structural change management and job creation/review matters as well as contribute to the development and implementation of organisational design and change management processes, templates and tools.

They will be expected to research, identify and evaluate emerging human resource issues and trends relevant to the Department's operations.
