About the role
We’ve made significant investment in expanding our Operational Technology (OT) engineering workforce to support operational requirements, project activity, and current and future cyber threats.
As a member of the Central OT Engineering team, you will support & lead the development and execution of a structured program of OT maturity improvement activities across EA’s operating assets and play a key role in support of our new BESS facilities under development.
You will also provide technical support to site-based engineering teams across the asset portfolio. Regular travel to sites will be expected. These roles will suit those wanting to be part of the energy transition that have an interest in cyber security and the challenges of working on critical infrastructure.
Please note: This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical solutions aligned with the EA OT Cyber Security Standard, best practice & industry frameworks
- Play an important part in the overall OT cyber security Maturity improvement program
- Provide virtual and on-site support to asset-based teams to develop technical solutions and troubleshoot issues
- Be an active contributor to the OT community of practice across operations business units along with leading & facilitating engagement
- Develop and rollout of new and updated engineering standards & guidelines
Required capabilities, qualifications, and experience
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Process Controls), (or equivalent) with proven professional experience
- Member of Engineers Australia, or eligible for the National Engineers Register
- OT Cybersecurity experience and certifications are highly desirable, but not essential
- Good knowledge and experience with industrial process controls and OT systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience relating to design and configuration, plant process controls / automation, industrial networking of OT in heavy industry settings
Key to the success of this role will be strong engagement and collaboration skills to develop fit-for-purpose solutions that are sustainable for the long term.
