In this role, you will support the Group Reinsurance team by delivering high-quality data, analysis and reporting that underpin reinsurance renewal activities. Working across multiple insurance systems and business units, you will help ensure data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose, while supporting effective decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).
What You'll Do
- Lead the collection, validation and reconciliation of data used to support Casualty reinsurance renewals.
- Extract and analyse relevant information from the IAG business systems
- Work closely with portfolio, actuarial and finance teams to meet data requirements and reporting outcomes.
- Support reinsurance negotiations by providing high-quality data and responding to broker and reinsurer information requests.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and data quality across the Reinsurance function.
What you’ll bring
- Ideally 5 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with, validating and reconciling data from varying systems.
- A natural curiosity and systems mindset, with the ability to investigate issues and learn new platforms quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy, governance and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage across business and technical teams.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in developing a career in reinsurance
