The Role

/n

We're looking for a Lead React + React Native Developer to take ownership of our entire front-end ecosystem; from our React web app to our React Native mobile app, and help scale the engineering team around you.

/n

You'll be working hand-in-hand with our Lead Infrastructure Engineer (who ensures everything runs at scale, securely and rapid) and our UX/UI Designer (who brings to life pixel-perfect, buyer-first designs). Together, you'll ship products millions of Australians will use.

You will:

/n

/n

- Lead the mobile app build from the ground up.

/n

- Drive feature development and enhancements for our web platform.

/n

- Collaborate closely with design and infrastructure to deliver seamless, high-performance experiences.

/n

- Set technical standards, mentor, and hire the right people to grow the front-end team.

/n/n

This is your chance to own the front-end strategy, deliver market-defining products, and shape the culture of a scaling proptech startup.

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Architect, develop, and maintain front-end applications in React and React Native.

/n

- Integrate seamlessly with our PostgreSQL backend and existing APIs.

/n





- Implement robust integration and unit testing (Jest, Playwright, etc).

/n

- Collaborate with the UX/UI Designer to implement mobile and web designs.

/n

- Work with the Infrastructure Lead to ensure performance, scalability, and security.

/n

- Implement CI/CD pipelines via github actions.

/n

- Mentor junior developers and participate in recruitment.

/n

- Champion best practices for performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

/n/n

What You'll Bring

/n

Must-haves:

/n

/n

- Proven production experience in React and React Native.

/n

- Experience with PostgreSQL and API integration.

/n

- Solid background in testing (Jest, integration testing).

/n

- Git proficiency and agile workflow experience.

/n

- Familiarity with Next.js.

/n

- Familiarity with Stripe integration

/n

- Backends FastAPI, Expressjs, Flask or anything similar

/n

- Experience with Docker

/n/n

Nice-to-haves:

/n

/n

- Experience with GCP or anything similar.

/n

- CI/CD for mobile and web.

/n

- Interest in proptech or data-driven platforms.

/n

- Expo/EAS is a plus

/n/n
