Salary: $117,272 to $126,182 per annum

Location: LGH Charles Street, Launceston

Position

/n

Fixed-term, full-time, day worker position commencing from 30 October 2026 until 1 October 2027.

/n

Dual service opportunity: work within the allied health outpatient clinic and embedded within the interdisciplinary team in the specialist plastics and orthopaedic clinic.

/n

Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Work collaboratively with surgical teams in shared decision‐making toward meaningful patient outcomes.

/n

- Manage a highly diverse hand therapy caseload, including chronic and traumatic injuries such as tendon, nerve and bone injuries.

/n

- Provide clinical autonomy in the management of simple fractures and support complex trauma treatment.

/n

- Offer mentorship and further skill development in hand therapy, burns and scar management.

/n

- Work as part of the experienced therapy team in Hands/Burns/Plastics and within the wider Allied Health teams.

Qualifications

/n

/n





- Registered physiotherapist or occupational therapist with a tertiary qualification approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia or the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

/n

- Certification of Hand Therapy (CHT) or equivalent postgraduate qualification (desirable).

/n

- Eligible or working towards membership of the Australian Hand Therapy Association (desirable).
