Job Description
Glencore's McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a strong future. Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, approximately 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola, we produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open-cut operation.
Our products are transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped globally, playing a crucial role in essential commodities used for mobility, infrastructure, and communications.

Key Responsibilities:
/n
/n
- Operate blast hole drill rigs in a protected and efficient manner
/n
- Execute drilling activities in line with drill plans and production schedules
/n
- Monitor ground conditions and adjust drilling parameters as required
/n
- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks
/n
- Maintain accurate drilling logs and report any issues or hazards
/n
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards, procedures, and environmental requirements
/n
- Work collaboratively with blast crew, mining production, supervisors, and other site personnel
/n/n
Required Experience & Skills
/n
/n
- Proven experience operating one or more of the following drill rigs: Epiroc D65, DML, Pit Viper, or
/n
- Vermeer HDD drill (highly regarded)
/n
- Experience on other drill rigs or heavy mining equipment considered highly transferable
/n
- Demonstrated experience in hard rock environments (highly regarded)
/n
- Strong understanding of drilling safety, hazard identification, and site procedures
/n
- Relevant RII competencies and/or training transcripts must be provided
/n
- Current RII for (highly regarded)
/n
- Ability to work effectively within a team and follow operational plans
/n/n
