We're seeking multiple Senior Infrastructure Engineers to join a high-performing national security program, supporting the design, deployment and operation of critical infrastructure used to protect Australia's interests.

About the Role
You'll be responsible for designing, deploying and supporting complex infrastructure environments while working alongside software developers, system administrators and cyber specialists to deliver secure, resilient platforms. This role offers exposure to up-to-date cloud technologies, infrastructure automation and large-scale enterprise environments where your technical expertise will have a direct operational impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and maintain enterprise Linux infrastructure.
- Build and support VMware and VMware Aria environments.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes and Docker-based platforms.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components including VLANs, DNS, firewalls and load balancers.
- Develop and maintain automated infrastructure and configuration management processes.
- Deploy secure, isolated and sandboxed environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience administering Linux systems in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with VMware and VMware Aria, including deployment and lifecycle management.
- Experience working across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong networking knowledge covering VLANs, DNS, firewalls and load balancing.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience deploying developer tooling, package management and access controls.
- Experience building or supporting isolated or sandboxed environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.
Security Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Hold a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance or a current NV2 clearance with the ability to obtain Positive Vetting.
- Be willing to complete additional suitability assessments prior to commencement.
