We are looking for an experienced and passionate People & Culture Manager to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our people, culture, and organisational success.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with department leaders, you will lead all aspects of the People & Culture function across the hotel. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, build capability, foster engagement, and create an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through to career development.
You'll be the trusted advisor to leaders, champion our culture, and ensure our people practices support both our business objectives and our commitment to being an employer of choice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the development and implementation of People & Culture strategies aligned with business goals
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and talent attraction initiatives to build high-performing teams
- Partner with leaders to provide coaching, guidance, and support on employee relations matters
- Manage compliance and ensure alignment with employment legislation and HIGA
- Deliver learning and development initiatives that support growth opportunities and succession planning
- Create engaging recognition,
wellbeing, and team engagement programs
- Support performance management processes and leadership capability development
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and best practices
- Review and enhance HR policies, procedures, and systems
- Prepare and analyse workforce metrics and reports to support informed decision-making
About You
You are a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building positive workplace cultures.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
- 3-5 years' experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture leadership role
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, workplace relations, and modern awards
- Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and sound commercial acumen
- Confidence coaching and supporting managers across all areas of people leadership
- Hospitality, hotel, tourism, or customer-facing industry experience will be highly regarded.
