Are you a qualified Carpenter looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established residential builder?
Our client is a large and growing business specialising in large-scale townhouse developments, with individual projects typically consisting of 80–100 townhouses. With multiple projects spanning from Ipswich through to Logan, they are looking to add an experienced Maintenance Carpenter to their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Carpenter who takes pride in their workmanship and has a strong eye for detail. The role will focus on quality assurance, maintenance and rectification works once townhouse developments have been completed, ensuring each property meets the company's high standards before handover.
You will be working across completed residential townhouse developments, identifying and rectifying defects and completing general carpentry maintenance to ensure each townhouse is finished to a high standard.
This position would suit a Carpenter who enjoys variety, problem-solving and quality-focused work, rather than being solely focused on new builds.
There is also a genuine opportunity for the right person to progress into a Finishes Foreman role, overseeing multiple maintenance carpenters across various townhouse developments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Completing carpentry maintenance and rectification works across completed townhouses
- Conducting quality assurance inspections and identifying defects
- Rectifying defects prior to client handover
- General carpentry repairs and finishing works
- Adjusting doors, frames, skirting, architraves and other internal finishes
- Repairing or replacing damaged timber and building components
- Completing minor cladding and external carpentry repairs where required
- Working through defect lists and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard
- Working alongside site teams and supervisors to coordinate outstanding works
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, presentation and safety
What You'll NeedTo be successful, you must have:
- Cert III or higher in Carpentry
- Full Australian working rights
- White Card
- Full set of your own carpentry tools
- Reliable transport
- Solid residential carpentry experience
- Previous experience in maintenance, defects, rectification or quality assurance works is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Excellent reliability and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What's On Offer
- $45–$50 per hour + Super, depending on experience

The successful candidate will initially complete a 1–2 week trial period on a labour hire arrangement through Core Talent.
