Senior Management Accountant | 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Parental Leave Cover)

Are you an experienced Management Accountant with a strong manufacturing background looking for your next contract opportunity?

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business based in Malaga that is seeking a commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join the finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, contribute to business performance, and support key financial reporting and operational initiatives.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO/Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis. You will partner with operational leaders across the business to provide financial insights that drive informed decision-making and improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the monthly financial close process
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership and Group reporting
- Deliver insightful financial analysis, KPI reporting and variance commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Analyse manufacturing costs, inventory movements, labour, material and overhead variances
- Assist with inventory valuation, stock reconciliations and BOM costing




- Partner with stakeholders across manufacturing, procurement and sales to provide commercial support
- Support capital expenditure analysis, business cases and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with audit processes, statutory reporting and compliance requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- CA or CPA qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- Minimum five years' experience in a Management Accountant or Senior Management Accountant position
- Strong experience within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing month-end reporting and management accounting processes
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Power Query and financial modelling
- Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines
