Your new role:
As the Assistant Director – Clinical Improvement Unit, you will provide strategic leadership in delivering Metro South Health's innovation, improvement and transformation agenda. Partnering with executives, clinicians and external stakeholders, you will lead organisation-wide improvement programs, workforce capability initiatives and evidence translation strategies that drive sustainable models of care, strengthen clinical practice and deliver measurable outcomes for consumers, staff and the health service.
About you:
You are an innovative and strategic healthcare leader with expertise in clinical improvement, transformation and evidence-informed practice, passionate about building capability and delivering sustainable system-wide change. You will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex healthcare improvement, innovation and transformation programs within large, integrated health services.
- Expert knowledge of implementation science, improvement methodologies, clinical redesign, evaluation frameworks and translating evidence into practice.
- strategic partnerships and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external organisations.
- Strong capability in leading change, managing complex portfolios, analysing performance data and delivering measurable improvements in patient, workforce and organisational outcomes.

About the Clinical Improvement Unit
The Clinical Improvement Unit (CIU) leads Metro South Health's strategic clinical improvement, innovation and transformation agenda. Working across the organisation, the CIU partners with executive leaders, clinicians and stakeholders to deliver clinical redesign, innovative models of care and evidence-based improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, strengthen workforce capability and support government priorities. The team drives organisation-wide transformation through clinical networks, strategic programs, research translation and system-wide service improvements across all Metro South Health facilities and disciplines.
