The Chance: Join a long-term Defence contract supporting critical fuel infrastructure used by the Australian Army, Navy and Air Force. As the Regional Engineer for Queensland, you will act as the key engineering contact for the region, working alongside Operations & Maintenance teams, Superintendents and Defence stakeholders to support asset performance, maintenance activities and improvement initiatives.
This role focuses on solving operational problems, building relationships and driving better outcomes. You will lead engineering investigations, root cause analysis, scope of work, review technical solutions, assess risk and identify opportunities to improve how critical assets are managed and maintained.
There is also the opportunity to develop business cases and present improvement initiatives directly to the client, making this an excellent role for engineers who enjoy influencing decisions and seeing ideas implemented. The contract is continuing to evolve, creating ongoing opportunities for growth, development and future progression.

Responsibilities

- Act as the key engineering contact for the Queensland region, working with Operations & Maintenance teams, Superintendents and Defence stakeholders to support asset performance, maintenance activities and improvement initiatives.

- Lead engineering investigations, root cause analysis, scope of work, review technical solutions, assess risk and identify opportunities to improve the way critical assets are managed and maintained.

/n

- Develop business cases and present improvement initiatives directly to the client.

/n





- Influence decisions and drive the implementation of ideas within a long-term Defence contract framework.

/n

- Support asset performance improvements and maintenance activities through collaboration with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

/n

/n

- Degree qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.

/n

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

/n

- Experience in project engineering, operations engineering or asset management environments.

/n

- Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.

/n

- Experience within Defence, oil & gas, fuels, petrochemical, water or similar industries.

/n

- Australian Citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
