Position Overview:
We are seeking someone with proven business optimisation experience working within a multi-disciplinary team. A demonstrated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, agile environment, and is meticulous about taking their work from concept to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides engineering input across FEED and detailed design to ensure fit-for-purpose, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
- Supports design risk management through HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, technical reviews, and RFI/TQ responses.
- Develops and maintains engineering specifications, standards, and design improvements to optimise project outcomes.
- Provides technical authority support for Mechanical (Static) and Piping disciplines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practice.
- Supports asset integrity through audits, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer and RPEQ certification required.
- A minimum of 12 years work experience in oil and gas as a Mechanical (static) / Piping discipline engineer.
- A minimum of 7 years as a practicing engineer involved in the design of Oil and Gas Upstream or Processing facilities, systems and plant, in the Mechanical (static) and Piping discipline areas.
- Familiar with relevant Australian and International standards as applicable to Oil and Gas industry.
- Technical Authority Level 2 (TA2) as minimum preferred
- Familiar with Project Management processes and practices preferred
