As a Technology & Data Governance Specialist, you'll be the governance guru driving decision‐making and embedding frameworks that ensure ethical, productive, and compliant data use. You'll work on enterprise‐level governance activities with board visibility, influencing executive stakeholders and enabling risk management across divisions.
This is a permanent full‐time role based in multiple locations across Australia.

What You'll Do
/n
/n
- Lead initiatives to embed technology and data governance practices across IAG.
/n
- Provide expert advice on data governance and privacy obligations.
/n
- Build and enhance reporting frameworks to demonstrate compliance and manage risk.
/n
- Engage and train information owners, stewards, and custodians on their accountabilities.
/n
- Drive decision‐making for ethical and efficient data use, challenging assumptions and influencing outcomes.
/n
- Identify emerging risks and issues that shape IAG's governance posture.
/n
- Communicate complex information clearly to executive audiences and influence enterprise‐level decisions.

What You'll Bring
/n
/n
- Minimum 7 years' experience in data, technology governance, or technology risk roles.
/n
- Strong understanding of technology governance, policy management, and compliance frameworks.
/n
- Experience in large, complex organisations.
/n
- Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) is desirable.
/n
- Certifications in Data Governance or Information Management (e.g., DAMA)
are desirable.
/n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
/n
- A curious, ambitious, and passionate mindset with ability to drive change and influence at executive level.
