About the Role
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Assembling, servicing and repairing small aircraft engines
- Following manufacturer specifications, technical manuals and work instructions
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets strict standards
- Operating hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery including lathes and milling machines
- Surface preparation, spray painting and chemical cleaning processes (where applicable)
- Maintaining accurate records using computer-based systems
- Working safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A solid mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in precision engineering
- Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, manufacturing or a related industry
- Spray painting, chemical processing or workshop experience (highly regarded)
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Good computer literacy and the ability to follow electronic work instructions
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A reliable, positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
- Must be able to pass a full medical
