Your new role:

As the Nursing/Midwifery Director – Clinical Improvement Unit, you will provide executive-level leadership to deliver Metro South Health's strategic clinical improvement, innovation and transformation agenda. Leading organisation-wide improvement programs, implementation science and service redesign initiatives, you'll partner with senior executives, clinicians and external stakeholders to embed evidence-informed practice, strengthen governance, build workforce capability and deliver sustainable improvements that enhance patient, workforce and organisational outcomes.

About you:

You are an inspiring and strategic nursing or midwifery leader who is passionate about driving clinical innovation, leading large-scale transformation and delivering measurable improvements in patient care across complex health systems. You will have:

- Demonstrated executive-level leadership experience delivering clinical improvement, service redesign, innovation and transformation initiatives in complex healthcare environments.
- Expertise in implementation science, quality improvement methodologies, clinical governance and translating evidence into sustainable models of care.
- Proven ability to influence, collaborate and build trusted partnerships with executives, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Robust analytical, strategic and financial management skills, using data and evidence to guide decision-making, evaluate performance and improve organisational outcomes.
- A collaborative and empowering leader who develops workforce capability, leads change with confidence and fosters a culture of continuous improvement,

About the Clinical Improvement Unit

The Clinical Improvement Unit (CIU) leads Metro South Health's strategic clinical improvement, innovation and transformation agenda. Working across the organisation, the CIU partners with executive leaders, clinicians and stakeholders to deliver clinical redesign, innovative models of care and evidence-based improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, strengthen workforce capability and support government priorities. The team drives organisation-wide transformation through clinical networks, strategic programs, research translation and system-wide service improvements across all Metro South Health facilities and disciplines.
