You will provide exceptional 24/7 care in a fast-paced, high-tech ICU workplace, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of specialists.
The Role
As an Emergency Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to pets in critical situations. Your responsibilities will include triaging emergency cases, assisting with and organising procedures, and providing compassionate support across both emergency and general wards. Working closely with our team of specialists and clinicians, you'll ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
This role focuses on providing outstanding patient care across our emergency department including some time in the ICU (intensive care unit) and HDU (high dependency unit). Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and assisting with patient care for our sickest patients
- Supporting critical care vets in procedures
- Delivering quality nursing care ensuring a smooth workflow between departments
- Utilising advanced diagnostic and medical equipment in collaboration with the wider hospital team.

Requirements of the Role:
- Cert IV veterinary nurse or Bachelor Veterinary Technology
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified veterinary nurse
- Ability to work a rotating roster with availability in mornings, afternoon, evenings and overnights.
- Be based at Sunshine Coast PT hours up to 30 per week with the ability to train at our North Lakes hospital
