About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Engineer - Electrical is responsible for evaluating and improving technical performance, supporting the Reliability Engineer, and providing specialisted technical support for tradespeople and contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

- To provide electrical technical support, coordination, training and oversight to maintenance activities associated with the PLC & drive systems and component for quay cranes.

- Actively participate in daily maintenance functions, fault identification & rectification and the implementation of engineering projects.

- Actively participate as a team player in working with the reliability engineers and Maintenance Engineer Mechanical in investigations and improvement programs

- Conduct regular safety audits of workshops, office, storage areas, facilities and work areas to ensure they comply with the established housekeeping and safety standards for the site

- Be proactively involved in the planning, scheduling and advice to Service Providers and Contractors.

- Where required,



supervise planned works and assess and develop work instructions and JSA’s.

- Support maintenance planning and reporting activities for planned scheduled activities.

- Participate in Maintenance meetings.

- Ensure all Patrick OH&S; policies and procedures are consistently complied with including regular safety engagements and audits as well as proactively improving the safety culture

About Your Experience and Skills

To be considered for this chance you must be a team player, and self-starter, who possesses the following skills and experience:

- Electrical trade and/or Degree in Electrical /Mechatronics Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience

- Excellent fault-finding skills in a production environment

- Minimum 5 years demonstrated / practical experience in the implementation and maintenance of Siemens and Omron automation control systems, S5 &S7; PLC’s and AC / DC drives

- Detailed knowledge and experience with Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – Maximo is a plus.

- Inquisitive mind set, analytical / problem solving and planning skills

- Heavy industry / engineering and manufacturing experience

- Must be eligible to obtain an MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
