ABOUT THE POSITION.
This position is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of hydraulic engineers, ensuring high-quality project delivery and technical excellence. You will provide hands-on technical guidance, mentoring, and support to the team. A key component of the role involves maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication, responsive service, and continued trust in the consultancy’s capability. This is a leadership opportunity within a respected engineering practice, driving the success of diverse projects.
DUTIES.
- Lead the detailed design and documentation of hydraulic systems across a range of building services projects
- Manage project delivery and resourcing to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes
- Provide leadership,
mentoring and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers and designers
- Maintain strong client relationships while identifying and contributing to business development opportunities
- Liaise effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the ongoing growth, culture, and technical excellence of the business
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Diploma in Hydraulic Services or relevant qualification
- CPEng and DBP (preferred, not essential)
- Effective project management skills, excellent communication and strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring, developing, and supporting engineering teams
