About you

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate and motivated registered nurse or allied health professional to join our team as Clinical Lead on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

You are a collaborative and supportive leader who is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You enjoy mentoring and empowering others, fostering a positive team culture, and driving continuous improvement in clinical practice. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you are confident balancing clinical leadership with day-to-day operational responsibilities.

Your passion for rural and remote primary healthcare, together with your ability to build strong relationships with clients, communities and key stakeholders - including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people - will make you an excellent fit for this role.

About the role

The Clinical Lead is a leadership position responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across Karratha Central Healthcare's Clinical Services and Programs teams. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred services that align with organisational priorities, clinical governance standards and funding requirements.

The Clinical Lead provides leadership, support and direction to multidisciplinary clinical and program staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. You will oversee clinical operations, workforce planning, service development, quality and risk management, and clinical governance, while ensuring services remain responsive to the needs of our communities.

Working closely with internal teams, funding partners and external stakeholders,



including Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, government agencies and community organisations, you will strengthen partnerships and contribute to the ongoing growth and sustainability of Karratha Central Healthcare's services across the West Pilbara.

This role combines strategic leadership with clinical expertise, maintaining an appropriate clinical caseload (if relevant) while providing oversight of service delivery, supporting evidence-based practice, mentoring staff, and driving innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation. As a member of the leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping organisational strategy, supporting business development opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe healthcare for the communities we serve.
