Vocationally Registered GP Role in a Coastal Tasmanian Community Health Setting
Are you a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (FRACGP/FACRRM) seeking a sea change? Join a multi-award-winning community health organisation on the stunning East Coast of Tasmania, just over an hour from the capital city.
This is a DPA Approved Location with an MMM5 classification, providing the 19AB Medicare exemption for GPs subject to the moratorium period.

Work-Life Balance & Support This role is structured to provide an excellent work-life balance in a desirable coastal environment:
- Hours: Monday to Friday only, operating 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
- After Hours: No weekend work, no nursing home visits, and minimal weeknight on-call (triaged by After Hours Doctors).
- Boosting Earnings (Optional): If you possess recent emergency qualifications/experience,
there is the option to participate in the VMO roster at a nearby health centre (including A&E; and acute care beds) to boost earnings.
- Facilities: Five consulting rooms and a well-equipped procedure room. Fully computerised (Best Practice) and QPA accredited.
- Team: Supported by an Enrolled Nurse (4 days/week), Practice Manager, reception staff, and visiting Allied Health. The practice also hosts University medical students.
The Location The practice is located in a rural town on Tasmania's East Coast, renowned for its rich history, seafaring atmosphere, and status as the gateway to a beautiful island reserve. The location offers a relaxed lifestyle with opportunities for fishing, diving, and enjoying coastal beauty.
