Project Manager - Mining & Private Wireless Projects

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in mining, telecommunications or critical network infrastructure?

We're looking for a commercially minded Project Manager to lead the delivery of private LTE and 5G network projects for major mining and enterprise customers across Australia. This is a high-impact contract opportunity where you'll take ownership of projects from planning through to commissioning and handover—managing delivery, customers, commercial outcomes and multidisciplinary teams.

The role is based in Brisbane and offers remote/WFH flexibility. Some interstate travel to customer and project sites may be required.

What you'll be doing

- Lead multiple private LTE, 5G and telecommunications projects from initiation through to completion.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks and commercial performance.
- Coordinate design, deployment, integration, testing and commissioning activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
- Lead internal teams, offshore resources, subcontractors, suppliers and technology partners.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, profitability, invoicing and revenue milestones.
- Manage procurement activities and service-provider engagement.
- Identify project risks early and implement practical corrective actions.
- Control scope changes, variations and supporting commercial documentation.
- Ensure delivery complies with mining-site safety, operational and quality requirements.
- Support project extensions, variations and potential recent business opportunities.





What we're looking for You'll be an organised and confident delivery professional who can manage complex projects, competing priorities and demanding stakeholder environments.

Ideally, you will bring:

- At least five years of project management experience.
- Previous project delivery experience within mining environments.
- Strong telecommunications, network infrastructure or network operations experience.
- Knowledge of LTE, 5G, RAN, Core, microwave or IP/transport technologies.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects to schedule and budget.
- Strong financial management, forecasting and cost-control capability.
- Experience managing customers, vendors, subcontractors and remote project resources.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- A practical, delivery-focused approach with the ability to resolve problems quickly.
- Familiarity with formal project management methodologies and governance processes.

PMI, PMP or a similar project management certification would be well regarded, as would experience working with telecommunications service providers.
