Our client is one of Australia’s largest dealerships of construction machinery with over 20 branches Australia wide, providing current and used sales as well as machinery hire to the construction and mining industries. They are authorised dealers for over 10 major OEM brands including ASV Posi-Track, Develon, JCB, XCMG, Wacker Neuson and Fecon, stocking a wide range of construction, compaction and forestry equipment.
Due to significant growth at their Archerfield dealership, our client is seeking experienced Field Service and Workshop Technicians to join their expanding team. Opportunities are available for both workshop-based and field service roles, maintaining a wide range of machinery including:
Our client sells, maintains and hires a large range of machinery, all of which is maintained inhouse by their Workshop and Field Service teams.
These positions can be either workshop based, field service based, or a combination of both depending on your experience and preference. Workshop roles will focus on machinery repairs, servicing, assembly and refurbishment within the dealership, while field service roles will involve attending customer sites for breakdowns, servicing and repairs.
Field Service Technicians will be provided with a fully maintained service vehicle and may be required to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays as required.
The majority of work is Monday – Friday, with overtime and occasional weekend work available.
The Candidate
• Relevant Trade Qualification
• Previous construction equipment, heavy vehicle or agricultural machinery experience highly regarded
• A/C Licence and Forklift ticket highly regarded but not essential
• Must be able to provide all required tools for the role
• Must have a valid Light Rigid (LR) or higher Australian Drivers Licence
• Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to read Hydraulic and Electrical Schematics highly regarded
• Attention to detail and take pride in work
• Reliable and hardworking
• Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems and diesel equipment highly regarded
• Must be a permanent Australian resident
Key Responsibilities
• New machinery assembly and pre-delivery
• Troubleshooting and fault finding
• Used and hire machinery repairs and refurbishment
• Hydraulics, Mechanical and Electrical repairs
• Carry out routine servicing on customer machinery
• Breakdown and onsite field service work as required
• Assist the team with tasks and projects as required

Depending on qualifications and experience, the following pay rates are on offer:
• $45.00 – $55.00 Per Hour Flat Rate
• + Super
• Minimum 40 hours per week
• Overtime available
