We're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to become an integral part of Mures Fishing.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with our General Manager, skippers, processing and sales team to ensure the financial administration of our fishing operations is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance administration of the Fishing Department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Debtor management and customer account follow-up
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Payroll administration support and timesheet processing
- Supplier invoice processing and payment preparation
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Recording vessel operating costs and seafood processing transactions
- Assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Maintaining data across Xero, inventory and payroll systems
- Supporting BAS, GST and other compliance requirements
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in bookkeeping or finance administration
- Confident managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and reconciliations
- Experienced using Xero
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable working with payroll information and confidential financial records
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Able to communicate confidently with operational and finance teams
- A proactive team player who enjoys improving systems and processes
- Experience in seafood, manufacturing, wholesale, hospitality, logistics or another operational business will be highly regarded but isn't essential.
- Experience with Unleashed, Tanda or similar inventory and workforce systems is advantageous.
