We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Contracts & Compliance Team Leader to lead a high-performing Contracts Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong contracts professional with leadership capability to step into a dynamic role where you can influence team culture, operational excellence, and client experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Contracts, Legal & Compliance, you will provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and technical support to the Contracts Team while ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and service excellence across the department.

You’ll act as the key escalation point for complex contract and conveyancing matters, while also driving team engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and support the Contracts Team in a fast-paced environment

- Conduct regular team check-ins, performance reviews, and development discussions

- Oversee team workflows, daily stand-ups, and service delivery standards

- Act as the primary escalation point for complex contractual and compliance matters

- Provide guidance on contract preparation, risk identification, and conveyancing best practice

- Support onboarding and training of new team members





- Assist with internal training sessions and presentations for clients and stakeholders

- Collaborate on process improvements, innovation projects, and departmental initiatives

- Manage team rosters and oversee offshore support resources

- Contribute to the development of marketing and communication content for clients

- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance obligations

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience in a team leadership or people management role

- Strong conveyancing and/or real estate contracts experience

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- A calm, solutions-focused approach to escalations and conflict resolution

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

- A collaborative and positive leadership style that motivates and develops others

- High attention to detail and strong compliance awareness
