We’re looking for a beer enthusiast who is eager to learn. This is a varied, hands-on position that is based out of our Belrose warehouse. You will be required to drive our company van to our Botany brewery and to deliver wholesale orders on some days.
Pay & Conditions
- Permanent full-time role (38 hrs/week), Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work for special events, paid at overtime rates or taken as time in lieu by agreement.
- $30-$35/hr + super + overtime. The lower end suits someone who is ready to be trained up, the top end for someone who's already running a warehouse.
- Beer allowance (case per week).
- On-site parking space at Belrose. Accessible by bus from Gordon, Chatswood, Macquarie Park or Wynyard stations.
About the Role
Wholesale order fulfilment and deliveries
- Enter incoming orders into order systems and organise fulfilment via 3PLs and couriers
- Drive company van to deliver cartons and kegs to local Sydney venues
Warehouse and stock management
- Organise stock transfers between our warehouse, 3PLs and brewery taproom
- Operate walkie stacker to store beer on pallet racking and keep Belrose warehouse organised
- Conduct periodic stocktakes
Online order fulfilment
- Picking, packing and dispatching online orders
- Management of our membership subscription program
- Responding to customer queries
Canning line assistance
- Assist on the canning line at the brewery (approximately 5 hours per week)
- Use forklift to load van with cans and kegs from brewery and transport back to Belrose warehouse
Tastings and events
- Represent Slow Lane at occasional beer festivals and other events
- Conduct occasional tastings at bottle shops
About You
- Driver’s licence (C class) required
- Pallet stacker or forklift experience highly desirable. Forklift licence will be required, but we can provide training and fund the course
- RSA certificate or willing to obtain before starting
- Full working rights in Australia
- Passion for beer
- Eager to learn
- Comfortable with manual handling including moving beer kegs (40-60kg) and lifting cartons (10kg)
- Solid attention to detail and comfortable working autonomously
- Basic computer skills — experience with inventory or order management systems and spreadsheet skills are a bonus
