Corine Duke Recruitment

O'Connor

The Short Version:

Site Manager | O'Connor Region, WA (Perth, South of Fremantle) | Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 + Car + Bonus + Super (negotiable)

Some teams need rescuing. This one doesn't - it's already found its rhythm, built real trust, and quietly become one of the strongest in the network. What it's missing is a leader who'll stay long enough to take it further.

Why This One's Worth A Look

I've partnered with a well-established manufacturer of building material products on a genuinely rare brief: they've told me plainly they don't want another cold, command-and-control leader - they want someone with real EQ, who walks the floor, checks in on people, and leads with warmth rather than fear.

You'd be joining at a strong moment too, backed by a business posting double-digit growth nationally, with safety support built in every fortnight so you're never carrying that alone. And with the site already at capacity, there's a live conversation underway about relocation or expansion, so whoever takes this on has a genuine hand in shaping where it goes next.

- Salary Range: $140,000 base + Company Car, Bonus, Super, negotiable depending on experience.

- Location: Just south of Fremantle, within Perth's southern industrial corridor, no FIFO, be home every night.

- Full P&L; and site accountability from day one, leading a settled, capable team with a strong culture. $10m site currently with room to grow.

- Ongoing training and development, genuine career opportunities within the business with many success stories to match

The Impact You'd Make

You'd take full ownership of a site producing a range of building products, with direct accountability for safety, quality, people and output across genuinely different production lines

- Lead a team of around 30 people across multiple production lines and shift patterns, running 24/6

- Back a recently promoted Production Manager with the strong, safety-focused leadership he needs around him

- Work with national teams on supply and distribution,

as materials increasingly move through Sydney before reaching WA

- Play a genuine role in shaping the site's next phase of growth. Exiting times ahead.

This is a site that's already good - profitable, clean, and full of people who want to be led well - with genuine scope to make it the flagship the business believes it can be. For a leader who'd rather build trust than issue orders, this is about as good as it gets.

What You'll Bring

You bring genuine manufacturing leadership experience, not a set number of years in the industry. What matters most here is how you lead: warm and grounded rather than cold or dictatorial, hands-on enough to walk the floor and know how your people are actually doing, and strategic enough to help shape where this site goes next.

- A solid understanding of end-to-end manufacturing operations

- Solid warehousing and logistics understanding, exposure to 3PL’s, DC’s and understanding of freight and transport operations

- A genuine track record of building trust and culture, not just hitting targets

- Confidence leading safety without carrying it alone - support is built in

- Comfortable with full P&L; and site-level accountability.

- You will need to have full Australian working rights.

Who You'd Be Working With

You'd be reporting into a business that's explicit about what it wants: warmth over ego, and a leader who listens as much as they direct. Day to day, you'd work alongside a capable Production Manager who's still growing into the role and genuinely wants the support, plus a settled team - including the person who helped build its culture in the first place, still there and ready to back you in. Fortnightly safety support and a wider national network are there when you need them, so you're never figuring it out alone. You will liaise with the wider group and national teams with real exposure at the top level
