Mathematics Teacher (Years 7-12)
Salary Range: $79,589 - $118,063 (depending on experience and in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Agreement and Experience)
Location: Heidelberg Area, Melbourne
Employment Type: Full-Time | 2027 Start

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join a collaborative secondary teaching team for 2027.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Mathematics programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture where students feel supported to achieve their personal best.
The school is seeking a teacher who is confident delivering Mathematics across Years 7-12. The ability to teach VCE math methods and specailist is also required.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Mathematics learning programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to support the diverse academic and wellbeing needs of students
- Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform teaching and intervention
- Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Build strong professional relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Work collaboratively within a professional learning team to enhance student outcomes
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community
You will have:
- Current or pending Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Relevant teaching qualifications
- Demonstrated experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level (or strong graduate capability and placement experience)
- Strong curriculum knowledge and confidence delivering engaging, structured numeracy instruction
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to evidence-based teaching and continuous professional learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full Australian working rights (applicants requiring employer sponsorship are unable to be considered)
