About the Role
We’re seeking a FP&A; & Costing Analyst to provide senior management accounting, cost accounting, financial planning and reporting support across the business. The role is responsible for Corporate reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, inventory costing, audit support and financial analysis for cost-reduction, new product and capital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Corporate finance updates with key commentary.
- Lead management reporting and close analysis, including major variance explanations.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Analyse revenue, product mix, gross margin, costs and operational metrics.
- Prepare monthly inventory journals and reconciliations.
- Perform quarterly inventory revaluations and standard cost updates.
- Forecast inventory provisions, reserves and write-offs.
- Support internal, external, SOX, year-end and inventory audits.
- Provide financial analysis for product cost-reduction initiatives.
Essential Education & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science,
with strong understanding of manufacturing concepts, materials, and mechanical tolerances used in mechanical assembly
- Experience as a process or manufacturing engineer, ideally within a high‑technology manufacturing environment
Desirable Skills & Experience
- CA or CPA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years' finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid management accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and close experience.
- Sound costing, inventory valuation, cost-of-sales and provision analysis skills.
- Strong revenue, margin, cost-driver and variance analysis capability.
- Experience supporting internal, external, SOX and inventory audits.
- Advanced Excel and sound ERP / financial reporting system skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, organisational and business-partnering skills.
