About the Role

I'm working with a well-established, national mechanical contractor to find an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager for their team in Brisbane.

This role is a great opportunity for a skilled skilled to take on a key position in a growing organisation, leading and managing complex HVAC projects from inception through to completion while ensuring successful delivery and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead project planning, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and completion of HVAC projects within specified deadlines and budget constraints.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct detailed project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Monitor project progress regularly and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding any deviations from the original plan.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices.

Main Tasks





- Lead project kick-off meetings and establish clear objectives, deliverables, and timelines for each HVAC project.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure project specifications align with client requirements and industry standards.
- Procure necessary materials and resources for each project while optimising costs without compromising on quality or safety standards.
- Supervise on-site installation activities to guarantee compliance with technical specifications and safety protocols.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members.
- Evaluate project performance against key metrics such as cost efficiency, resource utilisation, and client satisfaction.

About You

- A proven track record in managing complex HVAC projects within the commercial sector.
- A solid understanding of mechanical systems, building codes, and relevant regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, cost-optimisation, and organisational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
